Anne Bulchis
Associate

Anne Bulchis is an associate at AcademyHealth focusing primarily on the State Coverage Initiatives program, which is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and works with state policy leaders to expand and improve health coverage in their states.

Before joining AcademyHealth in June 2008, Ms. Bulchis held a position as a program analyst at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) where she worked on and evaluated a wide range of NCI health communications programs. During her employment at NCI she also worked as a grant reviewer for the Office of the Surgeon General's Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Demonstration Projects for the first and second years of the MRC grant program. While in graduate school, Ms. Bulchis worked as a summer intern at the New York City Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access where she researched state-level public and private health insurance developments and conducted interviews with NYC small business owners and employees regarding issues of health coverage.  Ms. Bulchis also lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina for nearly a year where she studied Spanish, taught English in companies, and edited primarily English as Foreign Language books for native Spanish speakers living in the United States.

Ms. Bulchis has a Master of Public Health degree in health policy from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Smith College.
