AcademyHealth is pleased to welcome the media to the 2009 National Health Policy Conference (NHPC). The 2009 NHPC offers many news opportunities. This year's agenda will provide an in-depth look at health reform for the year ahead.

Credentials for the NHPC are available to reporters, editors, and publishers of media that regularly cover issues related to the health industry. Journalists who receive credentials should be on assignment for a specific media organization. Requesting media credentials does not automatically qualify you to receive a media badge for the 2009 NHPC.

To receive media credentials, journalists may be asked to provide at least one of the following:

  • A copy of business card with name, editorial title and media outlet's logo.
  • A letter, on letterhead, the media outlet for which you are working.
  • A bylined health industry-related article published within the last 12 months.

The NHPC reserves the right to refuse media credentials for publications that cannot be verified or that it deems not substantive in reach or content; all requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

All approved media credentials can be picked up at the press registration during the NHPC.

Requests for media credentials can be sent to elyse.phelps@academyhealth.org.
